Pints & Ponytails is a hands-on hairstyling workshop for dads, held over a pint at Charlie’s Bar in Enniskillen. Cork barber Ciarán “Kiwi” O’Sullivan started the concept as a simple idea and watched it sell out across Cork, Killarney, and Limerick before taking it nationwide. The premise is straightforward: no children, no scissors, no judgement - just a relaxed pub setting where fathers learn to do a decent ponytail, a plait, or a bubble bun so they can manage their daughters’ hair with a bit of confidence. For the Enniskillen date, Ciarán is joined by local hairstylist Nicola Fallon. It is a genuinely useful evening out, and one that doubles well as an early Father’s Day treat for the family.
Doors open at 4:30pm for a 5pm start, and the session runs for ninety minutes. Ciarán and Nicola work through everyday styles - ponytails, plaits, buns, bubble ponytails - demonstrated on mannequin heads so you can follow along at your own pace without worrying about hurting anyone. There is a Q&A slot built in, so if the school-run braid has been defeating you for months, this is the place to ask. Every ticket includes a complimentary beverage during the session, a QR code card linking to step-by-step video tutorials you can replay at home, and a SONS Haircare goodie bag worth over £30. Enniskillen sits roughly in the centre of Fermanagh, easily reached from Omagh on the A32, from Dungannon on the A4, or from Sligo on the N16 crossing the border. The bus service from Belfast (Goldline) runs regularly to Enniskillen Bus Station, which is a short walk from the town centre. Charlie’s Bar is right in town, so parking in one of the nearby town-centre car parks and walking is the straightforward approach on a Saturday evening.
