At Various club grounds · Co. Fermanagh
The Erne Cup sits below the Senior League in Fermanagh’s club football structure, giving a wider spread of the county’s clubs a full season of competitive fixtures. Under the league restructure agreed by Fermanagh GAA clubs earlier in 2026, the Erne Cup now runs across two divisions, eight teams in Division One and ten in Division Two, and by midsummer both divisions had worked their way past round twelve. It is a step down in profile from the Senior League and the county championship, but not in commitment, and it is where several clubs do the bulk of their competitive football across the year.
Recent rounds have brought Kinawley Brian Borus and Lisnaskea Emmetts together at Patrick McManus Park in Kinawley in Division One, while Lisnaskea Emmetts also met Belcoo O’Rahilly’s at Emmet Park in Lisnaskea in Division Two, with Belnaleck and Erne Gaels producing a tight, late-goal contest in another round. Games are spread across midweek evenings and weekends depending on the club and the round, played at whichever ground is drawn at home. Expect small, local crowds, a genuinely competitive standard of football, and a good chance to see clubs that do not always feature in the county’s bigger fixtures.
Erne Cup matches are played at club grounds throughout Fermanagh, so the venue changes from round to round. Most grounds are within 30 to 45 minutes of Enniskillen by car. Check fermanagh.gaa.ie or the relevant club’s page in the days before a round to confirm which side is hosting.
Erne Cup grounds are dotted right across the county, from Kinawley to Lisnaskea and beyond, so it is worth building a visit around whichever town is hosting. There is more to see in Enniskillen and across Co. Fermanagh.
