Fermanagh U14 Football Championship

At Various Club Venues · Fermanagh, Co. Fermanagh

Fermanagh U14 Football championship match

The Fermanagh GAA U14 Football Championship is the county’s underage club knockout competition for players aged 14 and under, and it is one of the fixtures that matters most to GAA families across Fermanagh. This is where the next generation of club footballers first taste championship pressure - representing their parish, playing for keeps, and building the habits that last a lifetime in the game. If you have a connection to one of Fermanagh’s clubs, or simply enjoy watching committed young footballers play with real intensity, this is worth making time for.

What to expect

The championship runs throughout July and August 2026, with clubs from across the county competing in a knockout or round-robin format depending on draw and entry numbers. Fermanagh has 22 GAA clubs in total - one of the smaller county boards in Ireland - which means every game carries weight and most panels will include players from tightly knit communities. Clubs such as Enniskillen Gaels, Derrygonnelly Harps, Teemore Shamrocks, Irvinestown St Molaise, Lisnaskea Emmetts, and Roslea Shamrocks are among the established names at underage level. Key games, including later rounds, are likely to be held at Brewster Park in Enniskillen, the county’s main GAA ground. Earlier rounds take place at club venues across the county - check the Fermanagh GAA website for the specific fixtures once the draw is made.

Getting there

Matches at Brewster Park are straightforward to reach. The ground sits on the eastern edge of Enniskillen town centre, roughly a 10-minute walk from the bus station. Bus Éireann and Translink both serve Enniskillen with connections from Dublin, Belfast, Sligo, and Monaghan. If driving, the A4 from Belfast and the N16 from Sligo feed into the town; parking is available near the ground and around the wider town centre. For club-venue fixtures in rural parts of the county, a car is the practical option.

While you’re in Enniskillen

Enniskillen is built on an island between two channels of the River Erne, and the water is what defines it - boat trips on Lower Lough Erne, Enniskillen Castle on the bank, and the walls of Fort Hill rising above the town. There is more to see in Enniskillen and across Co. Fermanagh.
