At Busker Brownes · 5 Cross Street Upper, Galway City, Co. Galway
Red Line Comedy Club runs a monthly stand-up night on the top floor of Busker Brownes, one of the newer additions to Galway’s comedy scene since launching in 2025. Each show pairs a headline act with a supporting line-up of emerging comedians, and past bills have featured comics such as Kevin O’Connell and Kevin McGahern alongside a rotating cast of local and touring acts. Shows typically run from around 9:00pm for roughly 90 minutes, with a compere keeping things moving between sets. Ticket holders have previously received a free beer with admission as part of the club’s usual format. The room upstairs at Busker Brownes is small enough to keep the energy close and personal, which suits a club built on newer acts testing material alongside more established headliners.
Busker Brownes is on Cross Street Upper in Galway’s West End, in the heart of the Latin Quarter, a short walk from Eyre Square and the Spanish Arch. It is fully walkable from any city centre accommodation, and there are public car parks a few minutes away on foot for anyone driving in. Local Bus Eireann services connect Galway city to the wider county for visitors travelling from outside town.
