What to Expect

Below intermediate level, Galway runs a full ladder of junior football grades split into North and West divisions: Junior A, Primary Junior, Junior 2 and further junior grades below that. Confirmed fixtures on 14 August 2026 include Junior A North Phase 2 games such as Glinsk versus Caherlistrane at Glinsk and Dunmore MacHales versus Loughrea Gaelic Football at Dunmore, Primary Junior North’s Williamstown against Ballinasloe, and Junior 2 ties in both North (Tuam Stars v Corofin, Annaghdown v Mountbellew-Moylough) and West divisions (Oranmore-Maree v St. James’, Salthill-Knocknacarra v Maigh Cuilinn). Junior A West action that week also includes Micheal Breathnach against An Cheathru Rua. These grades give smaller and developing clubs a competitive championship pathway distinct from the senior and intermediate ranks.
