DNA Nightclub Weekend Club Nights

At DNA Nightclub · Ball Alley Lane, Eyre Square, Galway City, Co. Galway

Dance floor and lighting rig inside DNA Nightclub in Galway

What to Expect

DNA is one of the last purpose-built nightclubs still standing in Galway City, tucked down Ball Alley Lane off Eyre Square, and it runs full club nights every Friday and Saturday. The venue spreads across four bars and three levels, with two dance floors, two outdoor balconies and a dedicated VIP space known as The Attic for groups wanting bottle service or a bit of distance from the main floor. Programming mixes live bands with resident and guest DJs depending on the night, and the room is built for a proper late one rather than a quick pint - it stays open well past when the pub-nightclubs nearby have called last orders. It reopened after a forced closure in 2022 and has been a fixture of the Eyre Square nightlife cluster since, one of a shrinking handful of proper Galway City nightclubs still running a full weekend schedule rather than a single midweek student night. With two separate dance floors it can run more than one style of music at once, so it’s worth a lap of both levels before settling on which room suits the crowd you’re with.

Good to Know

  • Runs every Friday and Saturday night, year-round
  • Two dance floors, two balconies and The Attic VIP lounge across three levels
  • Entry typically runs EUR 8-15 depending on the night and how early you arrive
  • Live bands and DJs on rotation - check the venue’s own channels for who’s on before you go
  • Standard nightclub dress code and ID policy; queues build fast after midnight

Getting There

DNA is on Ball Alley Lane, just off Eyre Square in the heart of Galway City, an easy walk from Ceannt Station and from the rest of the Eyre Square pub and club circuit, so it works well as a last stop on a longer night out.
