Sensinema Outdoor Cinema - Herbert Park and St Anne's Park

What to Expect

Sensinema is a relaxed, accessibility-led outdoor cinema series run by Happenings in partnership with the neurodiversity charity Neuroconvergence. The Dublin summer outdoor cinema tradition, which for several seasons ran on Merrion Square, has moved this year to a rotation of Dublin parks. Cartoon Saloon’s animated Song of the Sea screens at Herbert Park on Saturday 12 September, with the gates open from 3:00pm and the film starting at 4:00pm. A second date follows on Saturday 26 September at St Anne’s Park, screening Cartoon Saloon’s The Secret of Kells. Both events are designed as “a new kind of public cinema” for neurodivergent children and adults and their families, with wireless headphones, low-level audio, quiet spaces and a relaxed audience policy in place throughout.

Getting There

Herbert Park is close to Sandymount and Lansdowne Road DART stations and several Dublin Bus routes along Morehampton Road. St Anne’s Park in Raheny is a short walk from Raheny DART station and served by buses along the Clontarf Road and Howth Road.
