At Rewilded Woodlands at Gap of Dunloe · Gap of Dunloe, Killarney, Co. Kerry
Rewild Festival grew out of Eats and Beats, a pop-up event series that began in Killarney in 2021. It has since found its permanent home in the rewilded woodlands at the foot of the Gap of Dunloe - one of the more dramatic settings in Kerry - and expanded into a full one-day camping festival. If you care about music, sustainable food, and the kind of talks that actually go somewhere, this is a rare day out that holds it all together without feeling contrived. Families, solo travellers, and groups who want something other than a pub crawl all show up here.
Gates open at 12:30 on Saturday 11 July and the music runs through to 2am on Sunday morning, so this is genuinely a long day rather than an afternoon affair. The 2026 lineup includes Jiggy, Clare Sands, Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin, Emmet Condon, Éfa O’Neill, and Natural Symphony - a mix of Irish trad-adjacent acts and contemporary sounds that suits the setting well.
Between the music stages, wellness sessions run throughout the day - house yoga is confirmed, along with talks and panel discussions featuring environmentalists, ecologists, and regenerative living practitioners covering topics from rewilding practices to plant medicine and climate resilience. There is also a craft market and sustainable food stalls. Reusable cups are the standard here; single-use plastic is not part of the deal.
Camping is available on site with an additional ticket, and campers have until 2pm on Sunday to clear out. The woodland floor and open-air stages make this feel like a festival that belongs to the landscape rather than one that has been dropped onto it.
The venue is the old Dunloe Golf Club site at Dunloe Upper, Beaufort - roughly 10 km west of Killarney town centre, between the villages of Beaufort and Glencar. By car, take the N72 west from Killarney and follow signs for the Gap of Dunloe; there is parking at the site. A free shuttle bus runs between Killarney town and the festival grounds from 12:30pm Saturday through to 2:15am Sunday (with a break between 3pm and 6:30pm), which makes it easy to stay for the full run without worrying about driving after dark. Killarney town is well served by Bus Éireann and Irish Rail from Cork, Limerick, and Dublin.
Killarney sits on the edge of one of Ireland’s largest national parks, and a day around the Gap of Dunloe is already one of the best uses of a summer weekend in the country. There is more to see in Killarney and across Co. Kerry.
