Forgotten by Pat Kinevane - Fishamble

Fishamble: The New Play Company brings Pat Kinevane’s solo play Forgotten to Siamsa Tíre in Tralee on Friday, 25 September 2026 at 8:00pm, with a combined show-and-workshop bundle ticket also available around the same booking. Kinevane is an actor and writer known for a run of solo shows built and toured with Fishamble, the Dublin new-writing company behind decades of original Irish theatre, and Forgotten is one of the pieces that made his name, built around four elderly characters living out their days in nursing homes.

What to expect

Kinevane performs Forgotten alone on stage, moving between characters to build a portrait of old age, memory and institutional care that has toured internationally since it first premiered, picking up award recognition for both the writing and the performance along the way. Fishamble has built its reputation on backing new Irish writing and then keeping it on the road for years rather than a single short run, and Forgotten is one of the company’s longest-serving touring pieces. Siamsa Tíre is also offering a “Show & Workshop Bundle” around this date, pairing the performance with a separate playwriting workshop led by Fishamble’s Gavin Kostick the following morning, for anyone who wants to go beyond watching and into the craft side of the visit.

Getting there

Siamsa Tíre is in Tralee’s Town Park, close to the town’s bus and rail station, the terminus of the line from Cork and Mallow. Kerry Airport at Farranfore is around 16km away.

While you’re in Tralee
