Keywest at Monroe's Live

At Monroe's Live · Dominick Street Upper, Galway City, Co. Galway

Pop duo performing live at Monroe's Live Galway

What to Expect

Keywest are an Irish pop folk act formed by childhood friends Andrew Kavanagh and Andrew Glover, who started out busking on streets around the world before turning that into a recording career, releasing four albums including “Joyland”, “True North” and “Ordinary Superhero” since 2012. Their single “Electric Love” reached number one on the Irish charts, and their sound sits on the acoustic, radio friendly end of pop, built on close vocal harmonies and the kind of big, hooky choruses that translate well from a street corner to a proper stage. Expect a set that leans on warmth and harmony over volume, songs about relationships and everyday life rather than anything heavier, and a band whose busking background shows in how comfortable they are working a room without a full production behind them. It is a booking that should suit Monroe’s Live’s mid week crowd well, an accessible pop show rather than a niche genre night.
