Lavery's Comedy Club Belfast

At Lavery's Bar · 12-18 Bradbury Place, Belfast, BT7 1RS

Stand-up comedy at Lavery's Bar Belfast

What to Expect

Lavery’s Comedy Club runs every Wednesday and Thursday night at Lavery’s Bar on Bradbury Place in south Belfast, and remains one of the city’s most consistent weekly stand-up nights. The club is curated and hosted by resident MCs Colin Geddis and Micky Bartlett, and features a mix of established and up-and-coming stand-up comedians from the Northern Ireland, Irish and UK circuits, with the exact lineup changing week to week. The room is upstairs at Lavery’s, is strictly 18+, and seating is unassigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving close to the door time matters if you want a good spot. Expect a proper club-comedy atmosphere rather than a theatre setting: close quarters, a fully licensed bar, and acts working the room as much as the stage.

Good to Know

  • Runs every Wednesday and Thursday, year round; doors open at 8:00pm and close at 8:15pm sharp - late arrivals are not admitted once the show has started.

  • Must be 18 or over to attend; ID may be checked on the door.

  • Tickets available at ti.to/laveryscomedyclub; shows tend to sell out, especially Thursdays, so book in advance.

  • Venue: Lavery’s Bar, 12-18 Bradbury Place, Belfast BT7 1RS.

  • Weekly lineups are posted on the club’s Instagram and Facebook pages in the days before each show.

Getting There

Lavery’s is on Bradbury Place at the junction with Shaftesbury Square in central south Belfast, easily reached by Metro bus from the city centre or on foot from Donegall Square, roughly a 15-minute walk. Botanic rail halt is also within easy walking distance for anyone arriving by train.
