What to Expect

Legally Blonde the Musical is one of the most reliably fun evenings in musical theatre, and this new production at Bord Gais Energy Theatre Dublin from 7 to 18 July 2026 stars Amber Davies, known from Pretty Woman the Musical and 9 to 5 the Musical, as the iconic Elle Woods.

Based on the 2001 film, the show follows Elle’s journey from sorority queen to Harvard Law School with punchy humour, infectious pop-rock numbers and a message of self-belief that has resonated with audiences for two decades. It is the kind of show that works for a broad age range, genuinely funny throughout and with songs that stick.

Davies brings considerable musical theatre experience to the role and has the presence to deliver Elle’s arc with both the comedy and the emotional weight the character requires. This is a proper West End-quality production touring to Dublin.

Getting There

Bord Gais Energy Theatre is on Grand Canal Square in Dublin’s docklands. The LUAS Red Line to Grand Canal Dock stop is right outside the venue. Multiple Dublin Bus routes serve the area. Taxis and rideshares drop off on Grand Canal Square.
