Manorhamilton Agricultural Show 2026

At Bee Park Community Field · Bee Park Community Field, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim

Manorhamilton Agricultural Show

North Leitrim’s biggest day in the farming calendar takes place at Bee Park Community Field on the last Saturday of July. The Manorhamilton Agricultural Show has been running for well over two decades and draws families, farmers, and visitors from across Connacht for a full day of livestock classes, equestrian competitions, crafts, and live entertainment - all free to enter. It is the kind of day where you can watch a champion Hereford being led around the ring in the morning and catch a tug of war contest in the afternoon, with plenty happening in between.

What to expect

The show spans around 24 competitive disciplines, which gives a sense of how seriously the local farming and equestrian communities take it. In the livestock rings you will find pedigree and commercial cattle, sheep, poultry, donkeys, and rare breeds. The equestrian programme is substantial - brood mares and foals, young horses, riding classes, thoroughbred and Irish Draught sections, show jumping, carriage driving, and a separate pony ring. There is also a well-attended donkey derby, which reliably draws a crowd.

Away from the rings, home industries, arts and crafts, photography, horticulture and flower displays fill the show tents. Sheep dog trials run separately, vintage machinery is usually on display, and sporting contests including the tug of war bring a lighter touch to the afternoon. Live music and trade stands round out the day. The Manorhamilton Country Jamboree, a street music event in the town, has in past years run alongside the show weekend - worth checking if you plan to stay over.

Getting there

Manorhamilton sits at the junction of the N16 and N54 in north County Leitrim, roughly 25 km east of Sligo town. From Sligo, take the N16 east through Glencar and follow signs for Manorhamilton. From Enniskillen, the N16 runs south-west and takes about 30 minutes. Bus Eireann operates a service on the Sligo - Enniskillen corridor with a stop in Manorhamilton; check current timetables before travelling. Bee Park Community Field is on the edge of the town and well signposted on show day. On-site parking is available.

While you’re in Manorhamilton

The town itself is a good base for the Leitrim Glens and the Arroo Mountain looped walks, and the ruined 17th-century Hamilton Castle is a short stroll from the main street. There is more to see in Manorhamilton and across Co. Leitrim.
