Lisnaskea Parish Harvest Ceilidh

At The Archdale Centre · Archdale Centre, Lisnaskea, Co. Fermanagh

Ceilidh dancing at a harvest social event

Lisnaskea Parish holds a Harvest Ceilidh at the Archdale Centre on Saturday, 10 October 2026, billed simply as a night of fun for all the family. It falls in the run of Harvest Thanksgiving events that Church of Ireland parishes across Fermanagh hold each autumn, when the end of the harvest season is marked with a mix of church services, suppers and social nights rather than a service alone.

What to expect

A ceilidh in this setting usually means a caller-led programme of set and ceili dances, suitable for people who have never danced one before as much as for regulars, with live or recorded traditional music driving the night along. Harvest ceilidhs of this kind traditionally follow on from a Harvest Thanksgiving service earlier in the season, and are pitched as a family social rather than a formal parish meeting, open to children as well as adults. The Archdale Centre in Lisnaskea is the parish’s usual venue for larger gatherings that do not fit in the church hall itself, and Harvest season is one of the few times of year it is used for an evening of dancing rather than a meeting or a fundraiser.

Getting there

The Archdale Centre is in Lisnaskea, on the A34 about 20 minutes south of Enniskillen and close to the Monaghan border. Lisnaskea’s Main Street and its car parking are a short walk from the centre, and St Ronan’s Parish Centre in the same town is used for other parish gatherings through the year.

While you’re in Lisnaskea

Lisnaskea sits between Upper Lough Erne and the Monaghan border, with the ruins of Castle Balfour on its Main Street. There is more to see in Lisnaskea and across Co. Fermanagh.
