Longford Town FC take on Wexford FC at Bishopsgate Stadium in a Saturday evening SSE Airtricity League First Division fixture - the kind of summer match that pulls in a proper crowd on the Strokestown Road. Bus Eireann also operates services into Longford town on the main Dublin to Westport/Ballina corridor. If you are driving from Dublin, the M4 to Mullingar and then the N4 into Longford is the standard route, and traffic on a Saturday evening is generally light.
