At Sanctuary of Lourdes · Esplanade de Processions, 65100 Lourdes, France
The Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes is one of Ireland’s longest-running diocesan pilgrimages, first led in 1948. The 2026 edition departs Dublin on 8 September and is led by Bishop Thomas Deenihan. Pilgrims may choose a 4-night stay (returning 12 September, flying Dublin to Biarritz) or a 5-night stay (returning 13 September, flying Dublin to Lourdes direct). The full religious programme includes visits to the Grotto of Massabielle, the Baths, the Torchlight Rosary Procession, the Blessing of the Sick, and Stations of the Cross. A central purpose of the pilgrimage has always been to bring people with illness and disability to Lourdes with the support of volunteers.
