At Lost Lane · Lost Lane, Dublin
Pointaken are a four-piece rock band from Navan, Co. Meath, and this is their EP launch night at one of Dublin’s best smaller venues. The band formed in 2023 and have been building a following since their debut single “Fashionably Nude” in 2024. An EP launch is exactly the kind of gig that matters - a band with something new to say, playing it in full, in a room where you can actually hear the guitars. If you like discovering Irish rock acts before they outgrow rooms this size, this is the night for you.
Pointaken are a guitar-led rock four-piece: Harry O’Brien on vocals and rhythm guitar, Fionnan Reilly on lead guitar, Tom Flanagan on bass, and Jack O’Reilly on drums. The launch bill also features support from Bioluminescence Holy Show, so you get two acts for the price of one. Doors are at 7pm, with the show running until 10:30pm - enough time for a full set from both bands without a late finish. Lost Lane is a standing venue at this capacity, so you’ll be close to the stage. It is an 18+ event.
Lost Lane sits on Adam Court, just off Grafton Street in the city centre - one of the easiest spots in Dublin to reach by public transport. Luas Green Line stops at St Stephen’s Green, a five-minute walk away. Dublin Bus routes serving College Green, O’Connell Street, and Dame Street all put you within easy reach. If you’re driving in from Meath - where the band are from - the M1 or N3 will bring you into the city, but parking in the Grafton Street area is limited and expensive on a Saturday night. The Drury Street Car Park is the nearest multi-storey. A taxi or the Luas is the easier call.
Grafton Street and the surrounding streets are good for a meal or a drink before the show - the area is well stocked for both. There is more to see in Dublin and across Co. Dublin.
