Wanderlore Exhibition at Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre

At Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre · 24 Main Street, Limavady, Co. Derry

Children's artwork inspired by local myths and legends on display at Roe Valley Arts Centre

What to Expect

Wanderlore is a vibrant exhibition celebrating local myths and legends through the creativity of young artists, running at Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre in Limavady from 25 July to 25 September 2026. The artwork was developed in partnership with seven local primary and special schools, with pupils responding to Sperrins folklore, fairy tales and mythical creatures in paint, collage and clay. A rich programme of free family activities and drop in workshops runs alongside the exhibition through the summer, including fairy door making, Celtic clay pendant making and mythical creature mask making, plus a Cinemagic Foodbank screening of The Secret of Kells for families.

Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre is Limavady’s main venue for exhibitions, theatre, music and community arts, run by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s museum and arts service. The building regularly hosts a changing programme of exhibitions from local, national and community artists, alongside its performance and workshop spaces, and sits on Main Street in the centre of the town.
