At 3Arena · East Link Bridge, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1
Sam Fender fills rooms in a way that not many artists from his generation manage. The Newcastle singer-songwriter has built a following on the back of anthemic, emotionally honest songs - lyrics about grief, class, heartbreak, and growing up in the North East of England that somehow land as universal. If you have been listening to Seventeen Going Under on repeat, or if someone you know won’t stop talking about him, this is the night to see what the fuss is about. He plays the 3Arena in Dublin’s Docklands on 19 September 2026.
Fender’s live show is a full-band experience, and it is built for a room this size. A previous Dublin 3Arena date drew a sold-out crowd that sang back every word, with production including stage flames, elaborate lighting, and a large screen running visuals behind the band. His set typically opens quietly and builds to roof-lifting crescendos - expect around 90 minutes from the main act. He draws from across his catalogue, from early EP material through Hypersonic Missiles and Seventeen Going Under, with newer tracks from People Watching also likely to feature. Support starts at 7:30pm, with Fender himself taking the stage around 8:30pm. There is a mix of standing and seated tickets available, and food and drink are sold inside the venue. Doors open at 6:30pm.
The 3Arena sits on North Wall Quay in the Docklands - straightforward to reach by public transport from anywhere in Dublin. The Luas Red Line drops you right at the door: The Point stop is adjacent to the venue, and the journey from Abbey Street takes around 10 minutes. The 151 Dublin Bus route stops on Castleforbes Road, a two-minute walk from the entrance, running every 10 minutes at peak times. If you are coming by DART, alight at Connolly Station and connect to the Red Line there, or walk via the quays in around 25 minutes. Driving is possible but parking is limited - The Point Village car park is the closest option, with an evening rate of around €12, though spaces go fast on concert nights. Pre-booking at the Convention Centre Car Park or Q-Park IFSC nearby is worth considering.
The Docklands is a pleasant area to arrive into early - the Grand Canal Dock waterfront and the Samuel Beckett Bridge are a short walk, and there are several good spots along the quays for food before a show. There is more to see in Dublin and across Co. Dublin.
