STARCAMP Summer Camp - Week 2

At Longford-Drumlish Community Sports Hub · Drumlish, Co. Longford

STARCAMP summer camp for kids

STARCAMP is Ireland’s biggest performing arts summer camp for children, and Week 2 of the 2026 Longford run brings five mornings of music, drama, magic, and circus activities to Drumlish for kids aged 4 to 12. The camp is non-competitive by design - the focus is on building confidence and self-expression, not prizes or rankings, which makes it a good fit for shy children as much as natural performers. If you have more than one child, the camp can take siblings in the same booking, with discounts available when additional weeks are added.

What to expect

The programme splits into two age groups. Younger children (ages 4-8, roughly junior infants to 2nd class) get singing, dancing, treasure hunts, magic shows, and themed play sessions. Older children (ages 8-12, 3rd to 6th class) move into STARCREW, a strand that leans into group performances, outdoor games, and teamwork. The 2026 edition carries a circus theme running through the week, so expect juggling, big-top storytelling, and performance elements woven into each day.

The week runs Monday 6 July to Friday 10 July, 9:00am to 2:00pm each day, with an early drop-off option available from 8:45am. Booking is online at starcamp.ie, where you can pay in full or spread payments across two instalments. Pre-booking is essential as places are limited.

Getting there

Drumlish is a small village in north-west Longford, sitting just off the N4 Dublin-Longford road. The Longford-Drumlish Community Sports Hub is easy to find from the N4 - Longford town is roughly 15 minutes by car to the south-east. If you’re coming from Dublin, the N4 brings you directly past the Drumlish exit; from Cavan or Roscommon, Longford town is the natural hub. Bus Eireann services between Dublin and Longford stop in Longford town, from which a car is needed to reach Drumlish. The Sports Hub has on-site parking for drop-off and collection.

While you’re in Drumlish
