Tymon Park Summer Market, Tallaght

At Tymon Park · Castletymon Road entrance, Tymon Park, Tallaght, Dublin 24, Co. Dublin

Market stalls at Tymon Park, Tallaght

What to Expect

South Dublin County Council’s Tymon Park Summer Market brings a mix of street food traders, craft stalls and artisan produce sellers to the Castletymon Road entrance of Tymon Park, beside the playground. The 2026 series ran across three Sunday dates through the summer, 21 June, 26 July and 30 August, with family entertainment laid on alongside the stalls. It is a smaller, community-scale market rather than a full farmers market, aimed at giving South Dublin families a free day out close to home.

Expect a rotating line-up of food producers and craft traders each date rather than a fixed set of stalls, plus activities pitched at children while parents browse. The market sits inside one of Tallaght’s largest public parks, so there is plenty of green space to spread out a picnic blanket or let kids run around after browsing the stalls.

Because the council runs this as a short summer series rather than a year-round weekly market, each of the three dates tends to draw a decent crowd from across Tallaght and Greenhills, particularly on a fine Sunday when families are already looking for something to do outdoors. Supporting smaller and newer food producers is part of the point of the market, so it is worth treating each visit as a chance to try a stall you haven’t seen before rather than expecting the same traders every time.

Getting There

Tymon Park’s Castletymon Road entrance is on the Tallaght side of the park, close to Tallaght village and within reach of the Luas Red Line and several bus routes serving Tallaght and Greenhills. On-street parking is available near the entrance, though it fills up quickly on market Sundays, so allowing extra time or walking from further into the park is worth considering if you’re visiting around midday.
