At Scoil Naomh Eltin · Kinsale, Co. Cork
If your child has ever wanted to build their own game or figure out how a website works, TechKidz gives them a full week to do exactly that. This five-day summer camp at Scoil Naomh Eltin in Kinsale runs 27 to 31 July 2026 and is aimed at children from age 7 upwards - specifically, children who have completed Senior Infants or above. No prior coding experience is required, so it suits total beginners as well as kids who have dabbled in Scratch or similar tools at school.
TechKidz runs technology summer camps across Ireland and focuses on hands-on, project-based learning rather than sitting through lectures. Children work through activities covering game design, coding, and broader digital making skills. Alongside the screen-based work there are construction and engineering games and practical experiments, so the day has variety built in.
Camp hours are 9:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. There is a 20-minute morning snack break and a 30-minute lunch break; children bring their own packed lunch and snack. A USB stick is useful for taking home any work created during the week - TechKidz sell branded ones on site for €10 if you forget. Mobile phones are not permitted in the camp. Note that peanut products are banned across all TechKidz venues due to allergies.
Groups are assigned by email roughly a week before the camp starts. If you are booking more than one child, a third child costs €125, and you get 20% off any additional camps booked at the same time.
