At TEG Cusack Park and other club grounds · TEG Cusack Park, Cusack Road, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath
The Westmeath Senior Football Championship, the top tier of club football in the county, plays its group stage through August, with round 2 fixtures spread across Friday 7, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August 2026. Two of the six ties are at TEG Cusack Park, the county’s principal GAA ground in Mullingar, with the rest played at club venues in Athlone, Moate, Caulry and Shandonagh. This is the grade that produces the county’s representative in the Leinster club championship later in the year, so early group form matters for seeding.
Confirmed round 2 fixtures: the round opens on Friday 7 August with Caulry v Garrycastle at Pairc Chiarain, Athlone (7:30pm) in Section A. Saturday 8 August brings Coralstown-Kinnegad v Na Dunta at TEG Cusack Park (7:15pm, Section A) and Tubberclair v Tyrrellspass at Moate (7:15pm, Section B). Sunday 9 August completes the round with Athlone v Moate All Whites at Caulry GAA (4:00pm), Killucan v Tang at Shandonagh GAA Club (6:00pm) and St Loman’s Mullingar v Mullingar Shamrocks at TEG Cusack Park (7:15pm), the pick of the round as two of the town’s biggest clubs meet. Expect a bigger crowd than the lower grades, especially for the Sunday evening Cusack Park tie, with covered stand seating and a proper matchday programme feel. Senior club football is the county’s most closely followed club competition outside of the inter-county season, and local rivalries run deep. The group stage continues on a weekly basis through August before the knockout rounds and eventual county final later in the year.
TEG Cusack Park is on the Cusack Road on the northern edge of Mullingar town, a short walk or drive from the town centre with car parking at the grounds. Moate and Caulry are both accessible from the N6, with parking available at each club ground.
