Kinnegad hosts a Westmeath Intermediate Football Championship doubleheader on Friday, 24 July 2026, with two round one group games on the same card. Ballinagore play Castletown-Finea/Coole/Whitehall in a Section B tie at 6:30pm, followed by Shandonagh against Milltown in a Section A game at 8:00pm. The Intermediate grade sits directly below Senior in Westmeath’s club structure, and both games open this year’s group phase, with the county board confirming pairings and throw-in times in its first round announcement in early July.
Coralstown-Kinnegad’s home ground sits just off the N4 in the fast-growing east Westmeath town, and hosting neutral-venue fixtures like these two group games is a regular part of the club’s role in the county’s fixture rotation. Two games back to back means a long evening of football with two different sets of local supporters coming and going between throw-ins, and the later game often draws a bigger crowd once the working day is over. Kinnegad is a crossroads village at the meeting of the M4 and M6 motorways, with the Royal Canal greenway passing nearby for a walk before or after the football.
