Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Markets

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council runs a free touring market series across the borough each year, bringing local food producers, craft traders and children’s entertainment to town centres in Ballyclare, Antrim and Randalstown. Each stop follows a similar format: local traders such as fudge makers, bakers and crepe stalls, live music, and children’s activities including a petting farm, all free to attend.

What to Expect

The next confirmed stop is Ballyclare Market at Ballyclare Town Hall on Saturday 17 August 2026, running 11am to 3pm. It is followed later in the season by the Antrim Family Fayre at Ulster Bar Corner in Antrim town on Saturday 31 August, Randalstown Market at the John Street car park on Saturday 12 October, and a second Ballyclare Market date at Ballyclare Town Hall on Saturday 19 October. Vendors vary between stops but have previously included Granny Shaw’s Fudge Factory, Barkelicious Bakes and Crepes 2 Go, alongside handcrafted goods and local produce stalls.

Getting There

Ballyclare town centre is north of Belfast on the A57, with Translink bus services running from Belfast. Antrim town is served by Antrim railway station on the Belfast to Derry~Londonderry line, with Ulster Bar Corner a short walk from the town centre. Randalstown sits on the same rail line, a little further along, with John Street car park close to the village centre.
