The Ballymaloe Craft Fair runs over two separate weekends in November 2026, from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd and again from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th, at the Ballymaloe Grainstore on the grounds of Ballymaloe House in Shanagarry, East Cork. Billed as the start of Christmas shopping in the region, the fair brings together more than 200 Irish craft and design exhibitors across the two weekends, with a different vendor lineup each time, so a visit to both catches largely different stalls.
Expect handmade gifts, festive decorations, ceramics, textiles, jewellery and artisan food products from makers around Ireland, set inside the atmospheric converted grainstore building that also hosts food events through the rest of the year. Food trucks and stalls serving hot chocolate and mulled wine add to the Christmas market feel, and the fair has become a fixture on the East Cork calendar for shoppers looking for something beyond mainstream Christmas retail.
A free shuttle bus runs from Midleton train station and Ballycotton on fair days, and free parking is available on site, which helps manage what is typically a busy, well-attended event given Ballymaloe’s reputation and the scale of the exhibitor list. Given the pull of the Ballymaloe name in Irish food and craft circles, arriving early on any given day tends to mean a quieter browse before the crowds build.
Ballymaloe House is in Shanagarry, near Midleton in East Cork, about 30km east of Cork city. A free shuttle runs from Midleton train station on fair days, and on-site parking is free.
