What to Expect

Bonkers Soft Play is a city-themed indoor play facility on the second floor of the Richmond Centre in Derry city centre, built around a large multi-level play frame with slides and climbing zones alongside quieter role-play spaces styled as a pet shop, florist, cafe, toy shop and city hall. There are dedicated toddler areas for babies and younger children who are not ready for the bigger frame, plus seating so parents and carers can supervise while getting a coffee. It is a drop-in venue rather than a booked session, so families can turn up within opening hours any day of the week rather than working around a fixed timetable.

Once a month Bonkers runs a sensory session with the lighting and music turned down and numbers capped, aimed at children who find the normal soft-play environment overwhelming. The exact date moves month to month and is posted on the venue’s Facebook page in advance, so it is worth checking their socials before making a special trip for that session specifically.
