Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Camogie Finals Day

At Croke Park · Dublin 3, Co. Dublin

All-Ireland camogie finals day

The Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Camogie Finals Day is the biggest day in the camogie calendar - four grades, one stadium, the best counties in the country going head to head at Croke Park. For Offaly followers this is unmissable: the county’s intermediate side face Kerry at 3pm in a shot at All-Ireland glory. But even without a county stake in the result, it is a great day out for anyone who follows Gaelic games or wants to see the sport at its sharpest.

What to expect

Four championship grades play out across the afternoon, so you are essentially getting four finals for the price of one. The Premier Junior final - Laois v Armagh - kicks off at 1pm, the Intermediate decider (Kerry v Offaly) follows at 3pm, and the Senior final between Cork and Galway closes the day at 5:15pm. Cork come in chasing a three-in-a-row; Galway have been miserly in defence all championship. The Junior final also features on the programme. The pace of camogie at this level often catches first-timers off guard - it is fast, skilled, and physical in a way that highlights rarely do justice. Croke Park has food, bars, and plenty of space to move between games.

Getting there

Croke Park sits on the northside of Dublin city centre. Bus Eireann coaches from Offaly drop at Busaras, from where it is a 15-minute walk or a short bus north to the ground. Dublin Bus routes also run along Jones’s Road and Clonliffe Road. If driving from Offaly, the M6 feeds into the M50; use a Park-and-Ride rather than trying to park near the stadium, which fills quickly on finals day.

While you’re in Tullamore

If you are based in Co. Offaly, Tullamore is a natural gathering point before the journey to Dublin - the town has decent cafes and pubs for an early start or a debrief on the way home. There is more to see in Tullamore and across Co. Offaly.
