Altamont Gardens is a 40-acre OPW heritage garden near Tullow, regarded as one of the most beautiful gardens in Ireland. The walled gardens, woodland walks and lake make it an ideal family outing. Children can explore the ice house, the arboretum and the river walk along the Slaney. The gardens are free to enter and open year-round.
Open daily throughout summer (approximately 9:00am to 6:00pm; check OPW website for exact hours).
Free admission.

No cafe on site - bring a picnic. Toilets available.
Altamont is approximately 5km from Tullow town, off the R724 towards Bunclody. Follow OPW signage from Tullow. Car parking on site.
