What to Expect

The “Follow Me Up to Carlow” Set Dancing Weekend is an annual gathering of Irish set dancers at the Seven Oaks Hotel in Carlow Town over the last weekend of September. The 2026 programme includes ceilis with The Abbey, Brian Boru and Johnny Reidy; workshops led by Syl Bell and Liz Hand; social and line dancing with Edel Pender; and sean nos with Irene Cunningham. The weekend draws dancers from across Ireland and beyond for a full programme of dance, music, and craic in traditional Irish style.

Getting There

The Seven Oaks Hotel is located on the Athy Road on the edge of Carlow Town. Carlow Train Station is approximately 15 minutes on foot; Bus Eireann services connect Carlow to Dublin, Waterford, and surrounding counties.
