What to Expect

The Carlow Historical and Archaeological Society (CHAS) presents a programme of public lectures throughout the year on the history, archaeology, and culture of County Carlow and beyond. Talks are typically held on Wednesday evenings at 8pm at the Seven Oaks Hotel and cover topics ranging from medieval Gaelic history, the 1798 Rebellion, and notable Carlow figures, to archaeology, architecture, and local genealogy. Lectures are free and open to all members of the public. The society also publishes the annual journal Carloviana and runs guided heritage excursions.
