At St Mary's Cemetery · Pollerton Road, Carlow
The annual Cemetery Mass at St Mary’s Cemetery is one of the most attended parish occasions of the Carlow year. Mass is celebrated outdoors among the graves in the summer evening, giving families an opportunity to pray together for those buried there. The Cathedral Parish organises the liturgy and attracts a large turnout from across the town.
Vehicle access to the cemetery is restricted on the evening: blue badge holders only may enter between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. No cars are admitted after 7:00pm to allow safe pedestrian access to the cemetery for Mass.
