Clare - All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Semi-Final 2026

At Croke Park · Jones Road, Dublin 3

Clare hurlers in All-Ireland semi-final action at Croke Park

Clare face Limerick in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Semi-Final at Croke Park on Sunday, 5 July 2026, with a 4pm throw-in. Clare earned their place by beating Dublin by 13 points in the quarter-final on 21 June - a result that marked them out as genuine contenders. For any supporter who follows the Banner County, this is the type of afternoon that makes long seasons worthwhile: a big-day-out at headquarters with an All-Ireland final place on the line.

What to expect

The All-Ireland semi-finals are split across the weekend of 4-5 July, with Cork facing Galway on the Saturday and the Clare v Limerick tie the following afternoon. Croke Park holds just over 82,000 people, and on a summer Sunday with two Munster counties involved, the atmosphere tends to be something else. Clare and Limerick have a long and intense rivalry, and a semi-final sharpens that further. Tickets start from €25 via Ticketmaster; buy early as semi-finals sell quickly. The All-Ireland final follows on 19 July 2026 at the same venue.

Getting there

Croke Park is on Jones Road, Dublin 3. From Clare, the straightforward option is rail - trains from Ennis run via Limerick Junction to Dublin Heuston, with the journey around two and a half hours. From Heuston, the Red Line Luas connects to Connolly Station, a 15-minute walk to the ground. Dublin Bus routes including the 1, 11, and 16 also stop within easy reach of the stadium. Driving is possible but parking on surrounding residential streets is limited and enforcement is strict on match days. Pre-booked car parks at Clonliffe College or nearby multi-storeys cost around €10 and save considerable frustration. Plan your return journey before throw-in - post-match Luas queues are long after big semi-finals.

While you’re in Ennis

If you are making a day of it from Clare, the morning of a big Croke Park match has its own rhythm - a proper breakfast in Ennis before the train north and the city filling up with county colours. There is more to see in Ennis and across Co. Clare.
