Cork Week 2026 (6-10 July) opens with a community Family Fun Day on Sunday 5 July from 12pm to 5pm, transforming the village of Crosshaven into a celebration of coastal community life. The day features a coastal market in the Royal Cork Yacht Club marquee, face painting, balloon modelling, pirate games, themed competitions, coastal walks, trails to Camden Fort Meagher, and the famous Pipers Fun Fair.
The event is free and family-focused, welcoming the whole community to kick off one of Ireland’s premier sailing events. Cork Week itself (6-10 July) brings 6,000 sailors and visitors to Crosshaven, with daily Apres Sail events and live music at the yacht club throughout the week.
Crosshaven is approximately 20km south of Cork City. Bus 223 serves Crosshaven from Cork City; parking available in the village.
