Owenbeg Centre of Excellence is Derry GAA’s second county ground, a 48-acre complex outside Dungiven that opened in 2011. There is a canteen on-site, a supporters shop, and the full run of facilities you would expect at a county-level venue. The pitches are well-maintained grass, and the ground has good sight-lines from most positions.
Round 3 in the O’Neills Derry SFC is a straight single-game knockout. Teams that came through Round 2B meet Round 2A losers still fighting to stay alive. Owenbeg is on the Foreglen Road (BT47 7PW), roughly 25km south of Derry city via the A6. From Derry, take the A6 towards Dungiven and follow signs for the ground. From Belfast, the A6 runs directly through Dungiven itself. There is on-site parking at the complex. Public transport to Dungiven is limited on match weekends, so a car is the practical option for most visitors - or arrange a lift from Derry city if you are travelling without one.
