Orange Tree House turns into a 1920s speakeasy for two nights running, Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September 2026, with doors from 7pm and the party running until 1am. The immersive evening pairs a welcome reception and three-course dinner made with local ingredients with live Jazz Age entertainment, “charismatic crooners, glamorous flappers and sensational tap dancers,” staged through the estate’s function rooms.
The format runs the whole evening as one continuous experience rather than dinner followed by a separate show: guests arrive to a period-themed welcome reception before sitting down to a three-course meal, with live performers, singers, dancers and tap acts, weaving through the courses and taking the room later into a dedicated performance and dancing section as the night goes on. The 1920s theme extends to the styling and atmosphere rather than a fancy dress requirement, and the promise is “spectacular live entertainment” with a contemporary edge layered onto the Jazz Age setting. Running to 1am both nights, it is a considerably later finish than most events in this part of the Ards Peninsula, making it as much a night out as a dinner booking. Advance booking is required and the two dates typically sell as separate, self-contained events rather than a single weekend package.
Orange Tree House is on the Portaferry Road just outside Greyabbey village, on the Ards Peninsula side of Strangford Lough. On-site parking is available, and the venue is roughly a twenty-minute drive from Newtownards along the A20.
