The Dry Robe Ball

At Rise at the Cove · 1 Marine Road, Greystones, Co. Wicklow, A63 V406

Rise at the Cove beach venue in Greystones

The Dry Robe Ball is an end-of-summer beach fundraiser at Rise at the Cove in Greystones on Saturday 29 August 2026, with all proceeds going directly to Tiglin, an Irish charity that supports people rebuilding their lives through recovery from addiction and homelessness. The evening leans on the dry-robe and cold-water-swimming culture that has grown along the Greystones coastline, turning it into a themed fundraising night.

What to expect

The ball runs from 6pm to 10pm and is built around a pig roast BBQ, with live music and DJ entertainment through the evening. It is explicitly family-friendly and alcohol-free, which sets it apart from a typical charity gala and makes it accessible to a wider mix of attendees, from committed sea swimmers to families out for the evening. Tickets include food and soft drinks as part of the price. The organisers, Tiglin, work with people recovering from addiction and homelessness across Ireland, and events like this one form part of the charity’s community fundraising alongside its residential programmes.
