What to Expect

Old Skool Bingo turns a normal bingo night into an R&B-themed party at Chillers on the Green just off St Stephen’s Green. Expect classic bingo games mixed with challenges and a live MC playing everything from old school R&B classics to modern chart hits, running for around three hours. It has an over-18s door policy and leans more towards a lively social night out than a traditional community hall bingo session, with the numbers-calling format used more as a framework for a party than a serious game.

The series has clearly found an audience in Dublin city centre, since organisers are already selling tickets for dates well into December, and the format repeats with the same mix of music, MC-led games and prizes each time. It is a good option for a hen party, a birthday night out, or simply a group looking for something different from the usual bar crawl around St Stephen’s Green.

Getting There

St Stephen’s Green is in the heart of Dublin city centre, a few minutes’ walk from Grafton Street. The Luas Green Line terminates at St Stephen’s Green, and the location is close to Pearse and Tara Street DART stations plus multiple Dublin Bus routes along the Green. Several city centre car parks, including those on Stephen’s Green itself and around Cuffe Street, are within a short walk for anyone driving in.
