At St Angelo Airport · St Angelo Airport, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh
The Royal Air Force brings its Town Show to St Angelo Airport in Enniskillen on Saturday, 5 September 2026, in partnership with the Ulster Aviation Society, which is based at the airport. Billed as a rare chance to see behind the scenes of RAF life, the free public open day is part community engagement, part recruitment event and part family day out, taking advantage of the airport’s runways and hangars, and the Aviation Society’s own collection of historic aircraft, for a day of static displays and hands-on activities.
The show runs from 10am to 5pm with aircraft on static display, STEM-themed activity stands aimed at school-age children and teenagers, RAF fitness and problem-solving challenges that let visitors try tasks based on real service training, and live band performances through the day. Serving RAF personnel are on hand throughout to talk about life in the service and answer questions about careers, apprenticeships and the different trades on offer, making it as much a careers fair for the aviation-curious as a spectator event. St Angelo has hosted RAF and Ulster Aviation Society open days before, drawing family crowds from across Fermanagh and over the border, thanks to the novelty of getting airside access to aircraft and hangars not normally open to the public. Entry is free and, per the organisers, no ticket or registration is required, though tickets may be issued on the day for crowd-management purposes.
St Angelo Airport is a few minutes’ drive north east of Enniskillen town centre. On-site parking is available for visitors for the show.
St Angelo sits just outside Enniskillen, Fermanagh’s county town on the River Erne. There is more to explore across Co. Fermanagh.
