The Outpost Beer and Cider Festival takes over The Dog and Duck Inn in Lisbellaw on Saturday 15 August 2026, billing itself as the most westerly annual celebration of real ales, craft beers and ciders in the country. It runs every August, on the weekend before the bank holiday, and has become a fixture for anyone in this part of Fermanagh with an interest in real ale rather than the standard pub taps.
The festival runs from midday until 11:30pm, with food served throughout the day until 9pm. Entry includes a limited-edition festival glass and a token for a first half pint, after which drinkers pay for what they choose from the range of real ales and ciders on offer. Because the pub is a genuine local rather than a purpose-built festival site, the atmosphere stays close and sociable rather than sprawling, with the beer and cider selection as the clear focus of the day. The long midday-to-late-night window means it suits both an afternoon dip-in and a full day out, and food service running until 9pm means it works as a proper meal out as well as a drinking session.
Lisbellaw sits on the A4, about 8km southeast of Enniskillen on the road toward Maguiresbridge and Lisnaskea. The Dog and Duck Inn is on Main Street in the village centre, an easy walk from on-street parking nearby.
