At Live at the Marquee · Maughan House, Marina Commercial Park, Centre Park Road, Cork
James Arthur brings his summer 2026 tour to Cork on Tuesday 30 June, playing Live at the Marquee - the city’s much-loved outdoor big-top venue on the Marina. Arthur is one of the biggest British pop acts of the past decade, best known for the enduring ballad Say You Won’t Let Go, as well as Train Wreck, You’re Nobody ‘til Somebody Loves You, and a run of albums that have kept him in arenas and festival headliner slots ever since winning The X Factor in 2012. His sixth studio album Pisces came out in 2026, so this tour is drawing heavily on new material alongside the crowd favourites. If you enjoy emotionally direct songwriting delivered with serious vocal range, this is a strong night out.
Live at the Marquee holds around 5,000 people in a large heated tent - compact enough to feel intimate for the size of act it attracts, but big enough that you’ll want to arrive with some time to settle. Doors open at 7pm and James Arthur takes the stage at 8pm, with sets typically running to around 10.30pm. The venue is cashless, so bring your bank card. There are bars inside the tent and outside, and several food vans on site; the Marina Market and Black Market food stalls are also a short walk away if you want to eat before. The set will likely span recent Pisces tracks alongside the hits that have made Arthur a reliable live draw - audience singalongs are guaranteed for the big singles.
Live at the Marquee sits at Marina Commercial Park, Centre Park Road, on the south side of the River Lee - about a 25-minute walk from Patrick’s Street in the city centre, or seven minutes by car in low traffic. Parking on site is limited to around 300 spaces and must be booked separately through Ticketmaster in advance (€14.20); it sells out for popular shows, so book early or plan to leave the car behind. By bus, Bus Éireann route 212 from Clontarf Street or Kent Station drops you at the Munster Showgrounds on Monaghan Road, a short walk from the venue. Route 202/202a from Merchant’s Quay also serves the area - alight at Monaghan Road Stop 237091. Kent Station is around 30 minutes on foot, or use the 212 to cut that down.
The Marina sits alongside the city’s old docklands, a short walk from the English Market and the independent shops and cafes that make Cork one of the most enjoyable city-centre stops in the south. There is more to see in Cork and across Co. Cork.
