At Live at the Marquee · Marquee Grounds, Centre Park Road, Cork City, Co. Cork
Kevin Bridges is one of the most reliably funny stand-ups working today - warmly observed, self-deprecating, and sharp without being cruel. For the closing two nights of the Live at the Marquee 2026 festival, he brings a lineup of comedy friends to Cork City for what promises to be a proper night out under canvas. If you have been looking for an excuse to make a summer trip to Cork, a sell-out comedy night in one of Ireland’s best-loved live venues is a solid one.
The show runs on Friday 17 July and Saturday 18 July 2026, with doors and the evening getting underway at 8:00pm. These two nights close out the 21-date Live at the Marquee season, which runs from June through to mid-July each year and draws some of the biggest names in music and comedy to Cork.
Kevin Bridges built his reputation with sold-out arena tours - his Overdue Catch-Up run in 2022 broke box office records, and he has previously played 63 consecutive nights at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro. The “and Friends” format means supporting comedians warm up the room before Bridges headlines; it is a proper multi-act bill rather than a single set.
The Marquee itself is a large tented structure on the Cork Docklands, holding around 4,000 to 5,000 people. The low ceiling and close sightlines give it a more intimate feel than you might expect for a venue that size - closer to a big-top than an arena, with the energy that comes from a packed crowd under canvas.
The venue sits on Centre Park Road in the Cork Docklands, about a 25-minute walk from Patrick’s Street through the city. Bus Eireann route 202/202a from Merchant’s Quay (Parnell Place) drops you at the Monaghan Road stop in Ballintemple, from which it is roughly a 10-minute walk to the gate. Route 212 from Clontarf Street also serves Monaghan Road. Kent Station is around 30 minutes on foot, or a short taxi ride. On-site car parking is available for €14.20, bookable in advance through Ticketmaster - it sells out, so book it the same time as your tickets.
Cork City is worth a day before or after - the English Market, the quays, and the hills above the Leeside make for good wandering. There is more to see in Cork and across Co. Cork.
