Killian Sunderman - Killian Dollar Baby

At The Playhouse Derry · 5-7 Artillery St, Londonderry BT48 6DA

Killian Sunderman stand-up comedy at The Playhouse Derry

Killian Sundermann has built one of the most loyal followings in Irish comedy, initially through sketch videos that took off during 2020 and have kept rolling ever since. “Killian Dollar Baby” is his 2026 stand-up show - arriving at The Playhouse Derry in September on the back of a sell-out UK and Ireland tour and a run at the Edinburgh Fringe. If you have not seen him live, this is a good first stop; if you have, you already know to get tickets early.

What to expect

This is a full stand-up hour - the format Sundermann has been growing into after making his name in short-form video. His material draws on Irish life and the particular experience of being online and Irish and watching the world spin; sharp observations delivered with the kind of timing that comes from an act that has genuinely toured. “Killian Dollar Baby” follows his 2025 Edinburgh run, so by the time he reaches Derry in September the show will be well-bedded in. The Playhouse is a relatively intimate arts venue, which suits a comedian of this kind - the room is small enough to feel immediate. He is also one half of the “Young Hot Guys” podcast, so his audience tends to skew young and already warmed up before he opens his mouth.

Getting there

Derry sits on the north-west coast of Ireland, about 75 miles from Belfast and 145 miles from Dublin. By car, the A6 from Belfast takes roughly 70 minutes; from Dublin the N2/A5 route runs around two and a half hours. Bus Eireann and Translink run regular services from Belfast Europa Buscentre to Derry (around 90 minutes). The Ulsterbus 212 Goldline is a popular cross-border option from Dublin. The Playhouse is on Artillery Street, just inside the city walls - a short walk from the bus station on Foyle Street. Street parking is available in the city centre; the Foyleside Shopping Centre car park is a five-minute walk away and has evening rates.

While you’re in Derry

Derry is worth arriving early for - the city walls are among the best-preserved in Europe and a walk around them takes less than an hour. The Bogside murals are close to The Playhouse and free to see at any time. There is more to see in Derry and across Co. Derry.
