Kneecap at Live at the Marquee Cork July 2026

Kneecap are the most talked-about act in Irish music right now, and on 6 July 2026 they bring that energy to Cork. The Belfast-Derry rap trio - Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí - have gone from cult favourites to arena-filling headliners in the space of a few years, and their performance at Live at the Marquee is their only Cork date on this run. If you have any interest in Irish-language hip-hop, politically charged lyrics, or simply one of the most electrifying live acts in Europe at the moment, this is worth clearing your diary for.

What to expect

Kneecap perform in Irish and English, blending rap and grime with a stage presence that has won over crowds at Coachella and Glastonbury. Their 2024 debut album Fine Art built the reputation; their follow-up Fenian - which topped the Irish Albums Chart and reached number two in the UK - cemented it. Expect songs from both records, a loud and committed crowd, and a show that rarely sits still.

Live at the Marquee itself is a large tented venue on the former Tedcastle’s Yard along the Lee, on Centre Park Road just outside the city centre. It holds major touring acts through June and July each year. The tent is cashless, so bring your bank card - no cash accepted at bars or food stalls. Gates open at 6.30pm; the main act typically takes the stage between 8.30pm and 9pm. Food vans operate on-site, and the Marina Market is within walking distance if you want to eat before you go in.

Getting there

Live at the Marquee is about a seven-minute drive from Cork city centre in normal traffic, or around 30 minutes on foot via the Marina walkway. By car, take Centre Park Road - it is the first left at the Albert Road roundabout - and follow it until you see the tent. On-site parking (around 300 spaces) can be booked through Ticketmaster in advance at €14.20; it sells out for popular shows, so book early. After the gig, Centre Park Road gets congested; arranging a pickup on nearby Monahan Road, or walking to Páirc Uí Chaoimh for a taxi, saves time. Bus Éireann and Cork City routes connect the city centre to the area, and Transport for Ireland runs dedicated event buses for Marquee shows - check transportforireland.ie for the Kneecap date closer to the time.

While you’re in Cork
