What to Expect

Laytown Beach parkrun is a free, timed 5k event held every Saturday at 9:30am on Laytown Beach strand. The course is an out-and-back run entirely on sand. The event only takes place when low tide permits, so check the parkrun website or social media before travelling. Post-parkrun coffee is held at Gilna’s, The Cottage Inn.

• Every Saturday at 9:30am, Laytown Beach strand - subject to low tide conditions.

• Free to participate - one-time registration at parkrun.ie required.

• Run on sand - beach shoes or trail shoes recommended.

• Public toilets available at the Laytown Beach entrance.

Getting There

Laytown Beach is on the east Meath coast. Free parking at the Beach Road car park, River Nanny car park, and overflow beach parking near Laytown playground.
