What to Expect

Leitrim Pride returns for a week-long celebration from August 26 to September 1, 2026 in Carrick-on-Shannon. The week kicks off on Monday, August 26 with a coffee morning at The Olive Tree Café at 12pm, followed by the official Pride flag raising outside Leitrim County Council. On Thursday, August 29, an information fair runs from 11am to 2pm in the Market Yard. The highlight is the annual Pride march on Saturday, August 31. The week concludes on September 1 with a community picnic at People’s Park from 12pm to 3pm, featuring face painting and crafts.

Good to Know

All events are free and community-focused. The week celebrates LGBTQ+ community and ally participation with a variety of family-friendly and community-oriented activities throughout the seven-day programme.

Getting There

Events are centred in Carrick-on-Shannon town. The Market Yard is in the town centre, and People’s Park is accessible on foot from the town centre. Parking is available in the town.
