At The Dock Arts Centre · Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim
The Iron Mountain Literature Festival celebrates the creative links between land, people, and local heritage through a programme of literary talks, readings, and musical performances. The 2026 edition features guest speakers including novelist Colum McCann, memoirist Clair Wills, Palestinian playwright Ahmed Jamal, and musician Máirtín O’Connor. The mountain has a history of iron mining spanning over three hundred years. This festival is a celebration of Leitrim’s literary and cultural heritage, bringing together writers, musicians, and audiences from across Ireland and beyond.
