At Colaiste Bride · Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford
A full week of sport, games, and activity for kids aged 5 to 12, running every day from Monday 27 to Friday 31 July at Coláiste Bríde in Enniscorthy. Lets Go Kids Camps is one of Ireland’s longest-running summer camp providers, with camps at schools and sports venues across the country. If your child needs somewhere structured and active during the school holidays, this is the kind of programme that fills the week properly - qualified staff, a packed daily timetable, and a big outdoor campus to run around in.
The programme runs from 9:30am to 3:30pm each day, which makes it practical for working parents. Lets Go splits children into two groups: 5-6 year olds get their own age-appropriate programme, while 7-12 year olds have a separate, more physical timetable. Activities across the week typically include team sports like hurling, basketball, mini rugby, and rounders, alongside games-based challenges such as human table football, parachute games, tug-of-war, orienteering, and crazy golf. Larger inflatable and adventure equipment - bungee trampolines, assault courses, and climbing walls - are available at selected venues. The emphasis throughout is on taking part rather than competing; programmes are designed by physical education teachers and all staff are qualified teachers or teaching students. The venue, Coláiste Bríde, is a secondary school set on the slopes of Vinegar Hill with plenty of outdoor space - a solid setting for a week of this kind.
Enniscorthy sits on the M11/N11 route between Dublin and Wexford town, so it is straightforward to reach by car from most of Leinster. From Dublin it is roughly an hour and 20 minutes. Bus Éireann runs regular services between Dublin Busáras and Wexford town that stop in Enniscorthy, and the town also has a train station on the Dublin Heuston to Rosslare Europort line. Coláiste Bríde is in the Templeshannon area of town, close to Vinegar Hill. Street parking is available nearby; drop-off before 9:30am should be straightforward on weekday mornings.
If you are dropping off or collecting, Enniscorthy is worth a look in itself. Enniscorthy Castle stands in the town centre, and Vinegar Hill - right beside the school - has free parking and an easy walk up to the old windmill with wide views over the Slaney valley. Curracloe Beach, one of Wexford’s finest strands, is about 15 minutes away by car. There is more to see in Enniscorthy and across Co. Wexford.
