Longford Sunday Market & Car Boot

Every Sunday from 7am, Mastertech Business Park on the Athlone Road turns into one of the county’s biggest weekly markets, combining an indoor hall of stallholders with an outdoor car boot sale in the yard outside. It runs through to 2.30pm and is well established locally as the place to pick up secondhand goods, bargains and general household items, alongside newer stock sold by regular market traders inside the hall.

What to expect

Indoors, stallholders sell a mix of clothing, homeware, tools and new goods across permanent pitches inside the business park unit. Outside, the car boot section fills with locals selling on furniture, bric-a-brac, tools and collectibles from the backs of cars and vans, the kind of stock that turns over completely from one week to the next. Free parking is available on site, which is part of why the market has built up a loyal following of bargain hunters who make it a regular Sunday morning stop. The organisers also run trading enquiries for anyone wanting to book a pitch, whether for a one-off clearout or as a regular stallholder.

Getting there

Mastertech Business Park is on the Athlone Road on the edge of Longford town, a short drive from the town centre. The site has free on-site parking for both shoppers and stallholders, and the outdoor car boot area and indoor hall are both accessed from the same car park.
