Luke Combs at Slane Castle - Night 2

At Slane Castle · Slane Castle, Slane, Co. Meath

Luke Combs at Slane Castle night 2

Luke Combs makes history at Slane Castle this July by becoming the first artist to play back-to-back nights at the legendary Co. Meath venue. Night 2 falls on Sunday 19 July 2026 and forms part of his My Kinda Saturday Night World Tour - a global run that added second dates at Wembley Stadium and Toronto’s Rogers Stadium when demand outstripped capacity. For country music fans in Ireland, this is a rare chance to see one of the genre’s biggest names in a setting that has hosted The Rolling Stones, U2, Bruce Springsteen, and Oasis. Both nights are sold out on primary channels, so tickets are in high demand on resale platforms.

What to expect

The natural amphitheatre at Slane Castle holds around 80,000 people and sits on the banks of the River Boyne, with the castle itself visible on the ridge behind the stage. The hillside slopes provide good sightlines for a wide sweep of the crowd, and the acoustics in the open bowl carry well on a dry evening. Gates open in the early afternoon, with the bill running across several hours - support comes from The Script, Irish rock veterans who will draw a crowd of their own, alongside American artists Ty Myers and The Castellows. Luke Combs will headline. His catalogue runs from stadium-sized anthems like “When It Rains It Pours” and “Fast Car” to the more recent tracks from “Gettin’ Old”. Expect a long set from a performer who is known for giving value on big outdoor stages. For those who want a more structured day, the Castle Courtyard Saloon hospitality package (booked separately) includes grandstand seating, a Nashville-style barbecue using estate-raised meat, covered bar, and a private entrance.

Getting there

Slane village sits on the N2, roughly 48 km north of Dublin and 16 km from Navan. On concert days the village road network closes to private cars, so driving to the gate is not an option for general admission tickets. Shuttle buses operate from Dublin city centre, Navan, and Drogheda - these are the practical choice for most people and are well organised for a venue with decades of experience handling this volume. Book shuttle seats early as they fill alongside the concert tickets. If you are travelling from further north, Drogheda is a natural pick-up point. Cycling is possible from Drogheda or Navan for those comfortable with a country road in a crowd.

While you’re in Slane

The village itself is a good place to pause before or after the show - the square has pubs that stay busy on concert weekends, and the Hill of Slane, a short walk from the centre, gives a wide view over the Boyne Valley. The surrounding area is one of the densest concentrations of passage tombs and early medieval sites in Europe. There is more to see in Slane and across Co. Meath.
